Metallic Accent Trim

Prada, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton name a few of the brands that inspired our Metallic Accent Trim. As we saw luxury store fixtures with stunning metallic accents, we were determined to bring the elegance of metal trim to kitchen, bath, and home.

While the concept of Metallic Accent Trim was easy to imagine, creating an affordable and easy-to-install component was a challenge. Having experience with anodized aluminum components, we knew the Metallic Accent Trim needed to match our existing metallic finishes. Utilizing our existing relationships, we took the concept to market with several styles and finishes of Metallic Trim that match our existing line of metal components.

Achieve Easy Elegance with our easy-to-install Metallic Trim. Choose from seven bright & bold finishes, and install using our double-sided VHB tape.

Cut-to-Size Decorative Grille & Mesh

We introduced our first “material” in 2019 with Decorative Grilles and Fine Wire Mesh. When Klise Manufacturing decided to close it’s doors, we were contacted by several companies to offer a custom, cut-to-size, and just-in-time program for Decorative Grilles due to our reputation as a company that can manage custom programs and just-in-time deliveries.

Finely woven by hand like a metal textile from steel wires, Decorative Grille offers an elegant alternative to glass in cabinet & furniture design.

Create a luxury look and feel with decorative grille and fine wire mesh. Complement and outline cut-to-size materials with metallic trim for a custom high-end design.

Featuring our NEW Decorative Grille & Mesh Sample Packaging, Countertop Display Tray, and Cinch Bag. Countertop Display Tray and Cinch Bag provided free of charge with purchase of full Decorative Grille & Mesh Sample Kit.

New! Designer DripEdgeā„¢ Profile

Created to protect garbage can pull-out doors from splatters, drips, and messes, the DripEdgeā„¢ trim comes in 4 sizes and 3 finishes.

The angled trim pieces were designed specifically to fit over the top edge of garbage can pull-out doors. These 7/8ā€³ angles provide a 1/32ā€³ edge on the face, which means drips, splatters, and cleaning solutions donā€™t sit on the top of your door.

Available in 4 widths, designed to fit both 15ā€³ and 18ā€³ standard and full overlay doors, our new DripEdge Profiles come in flat black, satin brass, and brushed aluminum finishes and feature an ultra high-bond tape for easy installation.

American Hardwood Tambour

“Tambour” gets its name from a medieval drum – the tambourine. In modern terms, Tambour refers to a method of fastening closely-spaced pieces of wood on a flexible backing. The linear arrangement of wooden slats resembles the cords on a Tambour drum. Due to its flexible nature, Tambour has been the material choice for roll-top desk covers, vintage wine cabinets, humidors, and more.

Today, Tambour is in demand for a wide variety of applications. Design a curved accent wall covered in Tambour, a functional pocket-style door, or use a solid Tambour panel on the face of cabinetry for effortless natural texture in your next project.

With 19 profiles and 5 species to choose from, creating a one-of-a-kind design with Tambour is simple. Custom Tambour profiles and species available upon request.

Layered Botanical Resin

Our line of USA-made Resin includes 3 stock designs – Botanical, Natural Leaf, and White Linen.

Natural and authentic elements, color, patterns, and texture are layered in a GREENGUARDĀ® certified, polyester-based resin. Each design creates an unexpected an unique way to conceal what’s inside cabinets, closets, and more.

Available as 24″W x 48″H or 48″W x 48″H sheets or Cut-to-Size based on your specifications. Our Cut-to-Size program allows you to install pre-cut panels on the job site with ease.

About Us: Designs of Distinction, founded in 1998, began as a small supplier of furniture parts. Today, we work with the largest brands in the industry to develop new and innovative products for cabinetry and furniture.

From the moment the first cabinet maker called and asked us to make a leg that was “bigger and wider, to hold up a countertop,” to the day we introduced our first metal component in 2014, Designs of Distinction continues to lead the industry in the latest materials, finishes, and components for kitchen, bath, and furniture.

Custom components are our specialty – furniture components, store fixtures, or otherwise – Designs of Distinction can help you bring your next project to life.
